About Paws On The Move
My name is Michelle and similar to many other dog walkers, grew up in a house where there were always animals around. Dogs varied from a pedigree Alsatian to various crossbreeds, mongrels and rescue dogs. Cats have also been in the family including one rescue cat which was nearly completely blind and every weekend I was to be found at the riding stables either helping out or riding.
I now share my home with 2 Border Collies one of which was rehomed from DAWGS, a cat rehomed from Cats Protection, sheep, hens and ponies.
Therefore I know about the challenges to be faced and sacrifices which have to be made when deciding to accept a furry friend into your household and when looking after them can turn into a chore.
I started Paws on the Move in March 2014 to provide a professional dog walking and animal care service to the Moray and Aberdeenshire area and I have been lucky enough to meet some wonderful dogs and their owners over the years. Having owned dogs with behavioural issues and through spending time in resolving their problems, I gained an interest in behaviour and training and am now pleased to be able to offer help to owners who find themselves in similar situations.
Badly behaved and unruly dogs are now not acceptable in society, there are many laws concerning responsible dog ownership and the topic of dogs often arises on council agendas. Even something seemingly as innocent as a puppy jumping up someone for a fuss can be seen as being an out of control dog and frowned upon. So now more than ever it is important to have a dog who knows how to behave in public
