Paws On The Move provide dog walking and pet visiting services to the Moray region in North East Scotland on an occasional or regular basis.
My name is Michelle and similar to many other dog walkers, grew up in a house where there were always animals around. Dogs varied from a pedigree Alsatian to various crossbreeds, mongrels and rescue dogs. Cats have also been in the family including one rescue cat which was nearly completely blind and every weekend I was to be found at the riding stables either helping out or riding.
I now share my home with a collie cross dog originally from Ireland who was rehomed from Dogs Trust, a border collie pup rehomed from DAWGS, a ginger cat rehomed from Cats Protection, 12 sheep and 2 ponies.
I therefore know about the challenges to be faced and sacrifices which have to be made when deciding to accept a furry friend into your household and when looking after them can turn into a chore.
That is where I can help you.
Whether you need to go out but are unable to take your beloved pets with you or perhaps work during the day and are unable to walk them. From experience myself, I know there are many places where dogs are not allowed and it is not possible to leave them at home alone all day, and also what it is like to rush home in the lunch break from work to go for a walk in the pouring rain and then rush back to work again.
I can walk your canine companions for you or pop in and see them and check they are safe and well, have some playtime and feed them if you wish, leaving you free to enjoy your day out or just have a pleasant lunch at work with the knowledge that your friends are having some fun as well.
All dogs will be walked safely on the lead unless specified by you and agreed in writing with you beforehand.
I can visit dogs and also cats during the day and check they are safe and well, have some play time, plenty of cuddles and feed them if you wish. This is an alternative to walking for your dog and would be suitable for unwell or convalescent animals, elderly dogs or puppies. If you would like a shorter "leg stretching" walk, this can be included.
Going on holiday and don't fancy taking your cat to the cattery? Paws On The Move will visit whilst you are away to play, feed, groom and cuddle your cat, change litter tray, put down fresh water and to ensure they are safe and well.
If visiting whilst you are on holiday, I can make your house appear “lived in” and take in post, water plants and pull curtains etc.
If you are going away for the weekend, on holiday or even just spending a single night away from home, I can ensure your animals' well being during the time you are away from them.
The service I offer in this respect is tailormade according to your requirements and the types of animals owned but can include feeding and watering, exercising, playtime, general check over, cleaning out enclosures (kennels, coops, stables, runs). All of this will be discussed with you at an initial meeting.
The types of animals I have cared for to date include dogs, cats, parrots, rabbits, chinchillas, gerbils, hamsters, geese, ducks, hens, pigs, horses, donkeys, llamas, alpacas, guinea fowl and pheasants.
UNFORTUNATELY, I AM UNABLE TO OFFER HOME BOARDING WITH ME.
I am fully insured including an extension for loss of keys, am Disclosure Scotland CRB checked and hold the OCN Certificate in Canine First Aid.
Please contact me to arrange a free introductory meeting, where we can discuss your requirements and I can get to know your lovable furry companions.
